Diagnosis:

Fibrous Dysplasia

Findings:

Non expansile relatively well defined lesion is positioned in the femoral neck, intertrochanteric region of the femur and in the subtrochanteric region of the femur. Portions of the mass demonstrate ground glass opacities. The mass is hyperintense on STIR image.

Diff Dx:

Other well-defined lucent lesions may represent giant cell tumor, bone cyst, or Brown tumor. Fibrous dysplasia may be monostotic or polyostotic as in McCune-Albright and Mazabraud syndromes.
