Coronal proton density image and sagittal proton density images demonstrate large lateral meniscus. Bow tie configuration of the meniscus is present on every sagittal image.

Diff Dx:

Discoidal meniscus is a term sometimes used to describe large meniscus that maintains relatively crescentric shape. Torn and posteriorly displaced anterior horn may mimick discoid meniscus.
